Motorola decided to be in trend and introduced the Edge 30 Fusion smartphone in Viva Magenta color.

Viva Magenta has been named Pantone’s Color of the Year 2023. The company’s specialists explained their choice by the fact that it is “an unusual red for an unusual time.”

It is worth noting that the Viva Magenta color has never been seen in smartphones before. Motorola’s novelty in this color, unfortunately, will be exclusive to the US market, but the company may well release its new flagship in the same color. It is also worth noting that the specified version of the smartphone will come with Moto Buds 600 ANC TWS headphones. True, the headphones will be of a different color, but even here Motorola decided to approach the issue from an unusual angle. The fact is that the headphones will be painted in Winetasting color, which was chosen by Pantone as an addition to Viva Magenta.

The Edge 30 Fusion Viva Magenta will be released in the US for $800. Technically, the smartphone does not differ from the original version, that is, it offers a Snapdragon 888 Plus, a 50-megapixel main camera, 68-watt charging and a 144-Hz screen.

Recently, the Alaska State Police received a message about a man stuck in the snow between the cities of Nurvik and Kotzebue. This is a remote area above the Arctic Circle where there is no cell service, so the man had to activate the emergency satellite service on his iPhone 14 to call for help. The Apple Emergency Response Center, along with local search and rescue teams and the US Arctic Northwest Rescue Coordinator, sent volunteer searchers to GPS coordinates transmitted by a smartphone. Rescuers arrived at the scene and successfully helped the stranded man, fortunately he was not injured.

This makes it easier for the rescue services. In mid-November, the function started working in the US and Canada, it will be available for free for two years, Apple has not yet announced anything about its cost in the future. The service should be launched in some European countries soon.

Samsung is working to ensure that in the near future its smartphones will be equipped with under-screen fingerprint scanners that can scan three fingerprints at once.

This is useful for enhancing protection. According to Samsung itself, this solution is 2.5 billion times safer than using a single fingerprint. In addition, Samsung’s new screens will be able to scan fingerprints across their entire area, which will make the use of such scanners simply more convenient.

ISORG has announced that its own OPD (Organic Photo Diode) multi-fingerprint scanning technology is ready. The company believes that Samsung is likely to use similar materials and processes for its OLED 2.0 all-in-one fingerprint scanner.

The head of ISORG believes that Samsung can release relevant products as early as 2025. That is, perhaps such scanners will receive the flagship smartphones of the Galaxy S25 line.
