Is it worth updating: checking the autonomy of “old” iPhone models with the latest iOS 14.5

Apple released iOS 14.5 mobile platform update yesterday, bringing many new features, improvements and fixes.

However, some users are in no rush to install the latest updates, preferring to make sure, but the update does not bring problems. One of these problem areas decided to check the authors of the YouTube channel called iAppleBytes. They posted a video testing the battery life of all iPhones that support iOS 14.5, with the exception of the newest iPhone 12 lineup.

Enthusiasts tested how iPhones running iOS 14.5 – from iPhone SE to iPhone 11 – are working and not losing power too quickly.

Note that the testing was carried out not with the stable iOS 14.5, but with the O iOS 14.5 RC released six days earlier. However, the Release Candidate version does not differ too much from the final stable build. As you can see in the ending of the video, iOS 14.5 RC does not lead to a rapid loss of charge.
