Is everything new – well forgotten old? The latest SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 turns out to be renamed Snapdragon 6 Gen 1

About a week ago, Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 single-chip system, and even then we noted that the platform turned out to be strange: it turned out to be slower even than the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. Now the situation has become a little clearer: Qualcomm went along the beaten path more expensive than MediaTek and simply renamed one SoC to another . To be fair, we note that the matter was not limited to just renaming: the new single-chip system received an increase in CPU frequencies of 150-200 MHz.

The table clearly shows that Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 is a slightly overclocked Snapdragon 6 Gen 1: the frequency of the ARM Cortex-A55 cores increased by 150 MHz, the ARM Cortex A78 cores increased by 200 MHz. And that is all. There are no other differences between these single-chip systems: Qualcomm didn’t even change the modem. Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 scores about 30 thousand more points in AnTuTu, but this is precisely due to the increase in frequencies.

This model, designated by catalog number ADA-AL00U, has already been certified in China, and the description specifically indicates 5G support. And the well-known insider Digital Chat Station revealed additional details.

According to him, the new mid-level Huawei smartphone (the Nova line is one of these) will have a Kirin 9000s SoC with a 5G modem. It will differ from the regular version of Kirin 9000s by a slightly lower (only 130 MHz) frequency of the large core. The Kirin 9000s configuration, we recall, looks like this: a large core with a frequency of 2.49 GHz, three medium cores with a frequency of 2.15 GHz and four small cores with a frequency of 1.53 GHz. According to rumors, the premiere of the Nova 12 line will take place in December.

The standard Escalade-V’s 6.2-liter supercharged V8 produces 682 hp. and 853 Nm. The more powerful Hennessey version gets a high-performance air intake system, a special camshaft, an upgraded exhaust system, high-performance catalytic converters and new intake valves. The H1000 kit comes with a three-year/60,000km warranty.
