According to the latest data, Apple plans to be the first company to use the TSMC N3E process next year. Based on this 3-nanometer process, single-chip systems for the new iPhones and Macs will be produced.

The source clarifies that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max (or iPhone 15 Ultra) will be based on the 3-nanometer Apple A17, the performance and energy efficiency of which will be markedly improved compared to the Apple A16.

N3E (Ehanced) is the latest generation of TSMC’s improved 3nm process. Compared to N5, power consumption is reduced by 34% with the same performance, performance is increased by 18% with the same power consumption at the same transistor density, which can be increased by 60%.

The first tests of the Apple A16 showed that the single-chip system, which continues to use the 4nm process, was not significantly faster compared to the Apple A15. Sources believe that Apple can no longer provide stronger optimization for the 4nm process, and in the next step, in order to continue improving performance, it must move to a more advanced process.

According to insider Yogesh Brar, who at one time provided correct data about the Pixel 6, Pixel 7 will not receive any important differences from its predecessor. It will have the same 8 GB of RAM, the same 128 or 256 GB of flash memory, the same based camera with 50 and 12 MP sensors. The front camera will be new, but it’s an 11-megapixel sensor from the Pixel 6 Pro.

SoC Tensor G2 will also be new, but so far all data indicates that the processor part of this platform will be the same as that of the current Tensor, only with slightly increased frequencies. The screen will retain the resolution and frame rate of 90 Hz, but, unexpectedly, will become a little smaller: 6.3 inches versus 6.4 inches. Apparently, Google heard users and journalists who said that there is not much difference in size between the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, and both feel large. True, it is not a fact that reducing the screen will lead to a decrease in size.

As for the battery, its capacity will allegedly be 4700 mAh, which is only slightly more than 4614 mAh for the Pixel 6.

As a result, the situation with the Pixel 7 will be similar to the iPhone 14, when there are very few differences from its predecessor, and there are no serious ones at all.

Demand for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max remains strong in the third week after the start of accepting orders, but the waiting time for new smartphones began to gradually decrease.

The average estimated delivery time for the iPhone 14 Pro worldwide has been reduced from 35 days to 31 days, and the delivery time for the iPhone 14 Pro Max has been reduced from 41 to 39 days.

As previously reported, Chinese consumers bought fewer iPhone 14 series smartphones at the launch of the new lineup than they bought iPhone 13 smartphones in the same period last year. In the first three days after the launch in China, Apple sold 987,000 iPhone 14 smartphones, which 11% less than the iPhone 13 series smartphones sold last year.

In Chinese social networks, reviews of iPhone 14 Pro smartphone users are circulating, who complain about the rapid obsolescence of the appearance of the latest flagship.
