iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will get bigger screens and smaller bezels than their predecessors
AppleInsider announces new information about the iPhone 14 series smartphones, which was obtained from a supply chain analyst. This time we are talking about a slight increase in the display size of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The founder of research companies Display Supply Chain Consultants and DisplaySearch Ross Young (Ross Young), who is rarely wrong in his predictions, said that the displays of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be literally hundredths of an inch larger. According to Yang, the increase is due to the reduced bezel around the screen.
So, the iPhone 14 Pro will have a screen diagonal of 6.12 inches, while the iPhone 13 Pro had a screen diagonal of 6.06 inches. The iPhone 14 Pro Max will have a 6.69-inch screen, while its predecessor has a 6.68-inch screen.
Yang also added that he is not yet sure if the minimum refresh rate of the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max screens will drop to 1 Hz. Recall that the iPhone 13 Pro debuted an OLED display with LTPO technology. The latter dynamically changes the screen refresh rate from 10 Hz to 120 Hz.
The iPhone 14 line is expected to be introduced this fall. If everything goes according to Apple’s annual plan, it will happen in September.

In Geekbench 6, the device scored 2213 and 7084 points in single-threaded and multi-threaded modes, respectively. This is significantly more than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 shows, but the new SoC Apple A17 Pro is still ahead with a score of about 2900 and 7200 points.
Moreover, if you cool the iPhone 15 Pro Max with an external fan, the result will be even higher: about 3000 and 7800 points. However, this only shows that the new iPhones do not have high-quality cooling, and in reality no one will carry an iPhone fan with them anyway.
Let us remember that Geekbench in this form is a benchmark of the processor part only. As for the GPU, yesterday we saw how the A17 Pro was significantly inferior to even the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in one of the tests.
