IPhone 13 bangs will finally be shortened

This fall, Apple is slated to unveil the iPhone 13 line of smartphones, which is increasingly being reported as insiders have connections in Apple’s R&D department and their informers in the Cupertino-based supply chain.

According to the Japanese edition of Mac Otakara, which cites a source from the Chinese supply chain, Apple will release four models of the iPhone 13. The smartphones will replace the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The design will be similar, but changes are expected.

The width of smartphones will remain the same, but the thickness will increase by 0.26 mm, in addition, the thickness of the main camera block will become larger by 0.9 mm, and the camera itself will be covered with sapphire glass. It is also reported that the iPhone 13 Pro will implement a new optical image stabilization system.

As for the front-facing camera, the famous bangs (notch in the upper center of the screen), by which iPhone smartphones are immediately recognized over the past few years, will decrease. More precisely, the width will not change, but the height of this cutout will become smaller.

The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max are also expected to receive LTPO screens that will support a high 120Hz refresh rate, as well as Freesync technology to avoid potential tearing.

Well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that fundamentally new cameras in Apple smartphones should not be expected until 2023.
