iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max went through torture in the JerryRigEverything lab

Well-known tech blogger Zach Nielsen, who runs a YouTube channel called JerryRigEverything, tested the strength of the new iPhone 12 mini and 12 Pro Max smartphones.

IPhone 12 mini and 12 Pro Max screens with Ceramic Shield scratch at the usual 6 on the Mohs hardness scale, while Zach Nielson noted that the grooves are not as deep as on last year’s iPhone 11. However, the blogger himself recommends using protective glass. which are already abound on the market. With it, the smartphone screen will most likely survive without problems not only contact with the keys in the pocket, but also deliberate attempts to scratch it.

Also, during the experiment with the heating of the screens by the flame of a lighter for 50 seconds, they did not darken and did not show any changes, as is usually the case with OLED displays.

When it comes to the famous bending test, the iPhone 12 mini turned out to be as strong as expected, it didn’t bend a bit. The much larger iPhone 12 Pro Max demonstrated the same. Apple has definitely learned its lesson from the flexible iPhone 6 story and is unlikely to want to repeat this situation anymore.
