This blog post compares the popular Geekbench benchmark of the new iPad Pro, which is based on the Apple M1 SoC, with other Apple products.
According to the source, the new 12.9-inch iPad Pro scored 1,718 points in single-threaded mode and 7284 points in multi-core mode. In the previous news the results of 1727 and 7270 were mentioned, respectively, which indicates a small measurement error.
This time, for comparison, the test results are given for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro based on the Apple A12Z SoC, which are 1121 and 4656 points, respectively.
The following are the benchmark results in the Geekbench 5 multi-core benchmark:
- MacBook Air (Apple M1): 7378
- iPad Pro (Apple M1): 7284
- 16-inch MacBook Pro (Core i9): 6845
- iPad Pro (Apple A12Z): 4656
In terms of graphics performance, the iPad Pro’s current Metal average score on the Apple M1 is 20,578, which is 71% faster than the previous generation iPad Pro with Apple A12Z, and roughly matches the graphics performance of the Apple M1-based MacBook Air.
Recall that the new iPad Pro tablet turned out to be twice as fast as modern flagships from the Android world.
But the problem with the butterfly keyboard will definitely not happen again. Apple is working on a folding MacBook with a flexible screen
Apple has launched a project to develop a 20.25-inch foldable mobile device. Probably, we are talking about a folding MacBook.
Interestingly, the project allegedly does not have a specific plan for commercialization, and Apple took up development in order to keep up with the market. At the same time, there is a forecast according to which a similar product can enter the market in 2027.
When unfolded, the screen diagonal, as already mentioned, will be 20.25 inches, and when folded it will be 15.3 inches. At the same time, to implement the Apple project, you need to use OLED screens. Resource The Elec says that to begin with, the company should transfer the rest of the MacBook and iPad to such panels, although it is not very clear why different products cannot have different types of panels. However, we have heard more than once about the company’s plans to release iPad Pro with OLED screens. As for the MacBook, the source says that Apple plans to release such models with OLED screens in 2025.
Also recall that earlier on the Web there were rumors that Apple is working on a foldable tablet. It may come out before a foldable laptop.

Alienware Short Video Teaserposted on Twitter confirms a key feature of his upcoming proposal. The device boasts a large 18-inch display. It will be Alienware’s first 18-inch gaming laptop since 2015, when a Dell subsidiary announced a limited edition dual-GPU edition. The brand then focused on 14-inch and 17-inch models. The tweet reads: “Signs around you, something big is coming soon.”
Presumably, the device will receive a 4K resolution display with a high refresh rate, modern processors and graphics cards, as well as an improved cooling system.
Clearly, Alienware’s 18-inch gaming laptop will fall into the premium price range.
