In the second beta of iOS 14.4, aimed at developers and public testers, MacRumors editor Steve Moser discovered a code indicating that Apple would add a new warning to the iPhone.
This warning will notify users if the smartphone camera has been repaired using non-original Apple components during the repair.
The message will say: “It is impossible to verify that this iPhone has an original Apple camera.” As with the similar warning for non-original displays, information can be found under Settings> General> About. In addition, an alert may briefly appear as a notification on the lock screen.
This display-related warning from Apple does not in any way affect your ability to use your iPhone or display. Therefore, it is suggested that in the case of non-original cameras, you will be able to use your smartphone normally, although it remains to be seen whether all functions will be available to users.
Apple also displays a similar message for non-genuine iPhone batteries, which also does not affect device use, other than disabling the battery status feature, which displays the maximum remaining battery capacity.
