iOS 14.2 Now Available to All iPhone Users

After the release of iOS 14.2 Release Candidate last week, the final version of the assembly became available to all iPhone users for download this week.
The final build of iOS 14.2 includes many new features, including over 100 new emojis and wallpapers. MagSafe support has also been reported for devices protected by leather cases.
New features include the ability to display playback controls on the lock screen, as well as redesigned AirPlay 2 controls.
iOS 14.2 is marked with the following changes:
- The Magnifier function can detect people and report their distance using the LIDAR sensor.
- Optimized Battery Charging for AirPods to slow down battery drain.
- Alerts appear when the sound level becomes hazardous to the user’s hearing.
- Supports intercom with HomePod and HomePod Mini using iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods and CarPlay.
- HomePod and Apple TV 4K connectivity for stereo, surround and Dolby Atmos sound.
The final version also fixes a large number of bugs found in previous builds.
iOS 14.2 is available on the following devices:
- iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XS.
- iPhone 11, iPhone XR.
- iPhone X.
- iPhone 8, iPhone 7.
- iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 7 Plus.
- 2020 iPhone SE 2.
- iPhone SE.
- iPhone 6s.
- iPhone 6s Plus.
- iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max.
