Yesterday the flagship gaming smartphone was introduced by Redmi, today it’s Nubia’s turn. And judging by the parameters in general, Nubia did its job better: the Red Magic 7 Pro turned out to be a unique device in a number of ways.
The presence of an under-screen front camera, perhaps, makes it the most unique: gamers will appreciate it, because they have the entire screen at their disposal without any cutouts. However, there are connoisseurs of a “clean” screen not only among gamers. The resolution of the front camera sensor is 16 megapixels.
The OLED display itself has a 6.8-inch diagonal, 2400 x 1080 resolution, 120Hz frame rate and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. Fingerprint scanner – sub-screen, seventh generation. It supports touch heart rate detection.
The Nubia Red Magic 7 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage. The maximum memory in the top configuration is 18 GB and 1 TB, respectively, but the RAM can be expanded with a 6 GB virtual partition. This is where 24 GB of RAM is obtained – the maximum RAM indicated for this model.
Being a gaming smartphone, Red Magic 7 Pro received a serious cooling system – in this case it is 9-layer, and the total area of cooling materials is 41,279 mm.2. An active element is also used – a fan with RGB backlight and a rotation speed of 20,000 rpm. Such a serious cooling system allows you to squeeze all the juice out of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1: the performance of the smartphone in AnTuTu reaches 1,100,000 points.
Especially for Red Magic 7 Pro, the company has developed an additional Red Core 1 chip, which continuously controls the sound, picture on the screen, vibration response and response of the touch layer – all those parameters that are important in the game. The smartphone is also equipped with additional side trigger keys, two loudspeakers and a powerful vibration motor.
Red Magic 7 Pro received a 5000 mAh battery with support for 135 W very fast charging: it takes only 15 minutes to fully charge the smartphone’s battery. At the same time, an adapter with gallium nitride is included in the package, delivering 165 W of power! This can be used to charge gaming laptops.
As for the main camera, it uses sensors with a resolution of 64, 8 (with an ultra-wide angle lens) and 2 (for macro) megapixels. Android 12 is used as the OS, a standard 3.5 mm jack is provided for connecting wired headphones. The thickness of the smartphone is 9.9 mm, weight – 235 grams.
Together with Red Magic 7 Pro, a simpler model debuted – Red Magic 7 without a sub-screen camera, with less memory, a 4500 mAh battery with support for 120 W charging (and without such a 165 W power supply in the kit).

Mobile devices can be fixed like a sheet of paper right on the keyboard, which is made in the style of classic typewriters.
The keyboard can also be wired. If it works via Bluetooth, the device will need two AA batteries as a power source – nothing is said about the battery life.
Both the Fineday case and the surfaces of all its keys are made from 6063 anodized aircraft grade aluminum. The characters are engraved on the keys so they shouldn’t wear off as quickly as on a regular keyboard. Each key hides a Cherry MX Blue switch and is LED backlit.
Along with these keys, Fineday also has left and right knobs. The left knob adjusts the brightness of the backlight, while the right knob adjusts the volume of the paired device.
Early buyers can purchase the devices for $655 and end up with a price of $1,100.

The WhatsApp messenger development team has released update 2.23.11.19 for the Android operating system. It is already available to some beta testers through the Google Play Beta Program. The new version has the ability to share your screen with the interlocutor during a video call. To do this, you need to click on the new icon located in the call control window. In this case, everything that is displayed on the screen will be recorded and transferred to another user.
The transfer of screen contents during a video call will be continuous, but it can be interrupted at any time: the user retains full control, experts at the WABetaInfo resource say. And, of course, the broadcast will only start after the user agrees to share the screen.
Please note that the new feature may not be available on smartphones running older versions of the Android OS, or it may not work when calling in large groups. Also, the interlocutor may not accept the screen picture if he uses an outdated version of WhatsApp. While the ability to share the contents of your screen has become available only to some beta testers, it is expected that more users of the messenger will be able to evaluate it in the near future.
