Intel is going to sell old processors under new names. In the company’s promotional materials leaked yesterday to the Network, there are curious lines indicating that only processors starting with the Core i5K will be fully new. That is, probably starting with the Core i5-13600K.

These CPUs will receive new large Raptor Cove cores with an updated microarchitecture and increased cache memory. All other 13th-generation Core processors, however, will effectively be rebadged Alder Lakes, although Intel will likely speed them up a little by raising the frequencies.

In general, there is nothing new in this approach. At one time, Intel twice re-released almost the same HEDT Core-X processors, and AMD practiced the same in the mobile segment. But in the segment of conventional desktop CPUs, this approach is usually not used.

It is not yet clear whether the younger cores of the new generation will be any faster than the current ones, but you need to understand that Alder Lake is also very productive. In addition, AMD, at least for the first time, will not have anything under the $300 Ryzen 5 7600X, and in the current generation, the Ryzen 5000 line is not very diverse when it comes to its lower segment.

Acer decided to enter the video card market and not with Nvidia or AMD products. Acer has unveiled its first 3D card today and it’s the Arc A770 Predator BiFrost.

Whether Acer will release only Intel cards is still unknown. In this case, we can see a non-reference design, two eight-pin power connectors at once (the reference card has 6 + 8 connectors) and a very unusual cooling system with two fans, which are very different both in size and design. The smaller one is completely similar to the centrifugal one, but it is impossible to say for sure from one image.

There is also no data on the Acer card yet. Recall, Arc A770 has 8 or 16 GB of memory and 4096 FP32 blocks. The card is priced at $330 or $350, depending on the version. Intel also introduced the more affordable Arc A750, priced at $290.

GeForce RTX 4090 tested on Geekbench the result is impressive

Someone already managed to test the flagship Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card in the Geekbench benchmark, and it did not disappoint. The result in the CUDA test is 417,713 points.

For comparison, the result of the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti is 260,346 points. Thus, if we evaluate the performance of CUDA cores, then in the new generation of Nvidia’s flagship it has grown by 1.6 times.

It is noteworthy that we tested the new Nvidia product in the same booth with the new AMD product – the flagship Ryzen 9 7950X processor. Also, the assembly used an ASRock X670E Taichi motherboard and 32 GB DDR5-6000 MHz memory.

When the processor costs 617 and you can buy a

Morefine has launched a fundraiser on Indiegogo for the S600 mini PC, which it calls the world’s fastest. It’s a really powerful product, and that’s not its only advantage.

The heart of the novelty is the Core i9-12900H/HK, which are technically identical. That is, with performance, everything is very good here. But another feature is that as part of the crowdfunding campaign, you can buy a Barbone system based on the Core i9-12900H for only $670, despite the fact that the price of such a CPU on the Intel website is $617. Of course, you will have to buy more RAM and a drive, but still this is a very attractive price.

As for the cost of a fully finished mini PC, we are talking at least $ 870 for a version with 32 GB of RAM and a 500 GB SSD.

As for the rest, we can note the cooling system with heat pipes, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, an aluminum-magnesium alloy body, the ability to install a 2.5-inch drive and a set of ports including USB 3.2 (x4), USB-C , USB 2.0 (x2), RJ45 (x2), HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4. PC dimensions are 150 x 145 x 64 mm.

The company promises to start deliveries in November.
