Intel stops manufacturing Coffee Lake processors

Intel introduced six-core models in 2017 as a response to Ryzen. They are members of the Coffee Lake architecture and were the first desktop processors to offer up to 6 cores and 12 threads in the home segment. Later, the company introduced eight-core models that became part of the Coffee Lake Refresh family. The first generations of coffee processors have already been discontinued, so the time has come for the Refresh series.

The company has released an official document outlining immediate plans to phase out Coffee Lake Refresh. So, on December 7, 2020, the program for the removal of products from production began to work, and from June 25, 2021, the processors will be considered completely out of circulation, and supplies to retailers will not be made.

However, this only applies to BOX series processors. For OEMs, support and procurement will continue until December 24 next year. This does not affect the processor warranty.

However, Intel has new processors with similar characteristics, and the next generation of Rocket Lake, according to the company, should set the record for single-core performance. At the very least, the answer to Zen3 from competitors should be a must.
