Data from the major network NewEgg suggests that the Core i7-12700K has already climbed into second place in the list of best-selling CPUs, so far second only to the best-selling Ryzen 5 5600X. The Core i9-12900K and Core i5-12600K are currently ranked 6th and 7th, respectively, behind the Ryzen 9 5900X, but they managed to push the flagship Ryzen 9 5950X out of the top ten.
The list of the most popular CPUs in the Best Buy network still consists mainly of AMD solutions, but the Core i9-12900K has already outperformed the Ryzen 9 5950X, although the confrontation in this pair is far from ambiguous. At the same time, the Canadian division of the network shows a completely different picture: Alder Lake took 9 out of 10 places on the leaderboard. Moreover, the top-end Core i9-12900K takes first place, the Core i7-12700K is in third place, and the Core i5-12600K follows right behind it.
In the list of the American Amazon in the top ten so far there is only one Intel CPU, and this is the Core i7-12700K in eighth position. In German and British Amazon, the score is equal (five CPUs each). In the Japanese Amazon store, the Core i7-12700K leads the way, followed by the Core i5-12400F. The Core i7-12700K also leads the Microcenter network. There are also three more Alder Lake models in the top ten.
Thus, we can see that Intel’s new products are actively capturing the market, becoming more and more popular and overtaking the Ryzen 5000 line. If AMD does not adjust prices even more, it is possible that the competitor’s CPUs will eventually push them out of the most popular lists almost completely.
True, as we have already seen today, this situation does not prevent AMD from increasing its share in the CPU market as a whole, setting new records.
