Intel doubled 10nm and 14nm production capacities in three years

After the unenviable launches of new products this year: Ryzen 5000, Radeon 6000, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, GeForce RTX 30 – one of the few giants who have not yet made high-profile presentations is Intel. And it looks like the Blues are doing well.
In response to huge demand, Intel has doubled its 14nm and 10nm process technology. The company managed to find ways to increase production capacity from the existing base. More on this in the video.
“Over the past three years, we have doubled our wafer production, which required significant investment. Moving forward, we do not stop. We continue to invest in manufacturing facilities to keep up with the growing demands of our customers, ”said Keywan Esfarjani, senior vice president and general manager of manufacturing and operations for Intel.
Besides 14nm, Intel has expanded its 10nm manufacturing process. Intel currently manufactures 10nm products in large volumes at its facilities in Oregon and Arizona, as well as at its facilities in Israel.
In 2020, Intel introduced an expanding 10nm product lineup including 11th Gen Intel Core processors and Intel Atom P5900 processors. In addition, the company introduced 10nm SuperFin technology, which provides increased performance.
Esfarjani:
“The development of 10 nm is going pretty well. We already have three large-scale manufacturing plants that are fully operational. “
