Integrated 4G modem, 32 GB RAM, Intel Tiger Lake processors. Microsoft unexpectedly updated the Surface Pro 7 tablet

While everyone was waiting for the official premiere of the Surface 8 tablets, Microsoft unexpectedly made another move – it introduced the updated Surface Pro 7. The novelty is called Surface Pro 7+ and has several significant differences from its predecessor. For example, the maximum amount of RAM is now a whopping 32 GB!
Although from the point of view of the hardware platform, the transition to 11th generation Intel Core processors – Tiger Lake is much more significant. In the basic version for $ 900, the Core i3-1115G4 is installed, but the Core i5 and Core i7 are offered for an additional fee. The maximum SSD capacity is now 1TB, but more importantly, the SSD is removable, so it can be easily and inexpensively expanded. Finally, another significant improvement: the battery life has increased from 10.5 to 15 hours.
The Surface Pro 7+ is aimed at business and educational users and will be available for them starting January 15. The cost of the version with a built-in LTE modem starts at $ 1150.
