German insider Roland Quandt revealed when Huawei plans to launch the flagship Mate 40 line of smartphones.
What is known
So, according to an insider, the Huawei Mate 40 and Huawei Mate 40 Pro will debut in the middle of next month. Approximately, at the same time, a small batch of devices will appear on sale in China, but on the global market, new items are definitely not worth waiting for this year. Due to US sanctions, the company had to postpone sales of devices to the first half of 2021.

By the way, besides the release date, Quandt confirmed rumors that the smartphones will be powered by the new Kirin 9000 processor. The chip will have a built-in 5G modem and will also be built using a 5nm process technology, like the Apple A14 Bionic SoC in the new iPad Air. The Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro will also boast updated cameras, powerful fast charging and a “new way of interacting.” What this means is not yet clear.
