Incredible boosts in frequencies and performance, PCIe 5.0 and DDR5, all without price increases. Prices for Ryzen 7000 processors have become known

Less than 12 hours are left before the announcement of the Ryzen 7000 processors, but now the network has received data on the recommended prices for new items.

Incredible boosts in frequencies and performance, PCIe 5.0 and DDR5, all without price increases. Prices for Ryzen 7000 processors have become known

According to the source, the prices will be as follows:

  • Ryzen 9 7950X – $799
  • Ryzen 9 7900X – $549
  • Ryzen 7 7700X – $449
  • Ryzen 5 7600X – $299

That is, new items will cost the same as their predecessors at the start. Given the sometimes huge increase in performance, this is good news. At the same time, if an inexperienced consumer compares AMD’s new products with the upcoming Intel Raptor Lake CPUs, which are expected at approximately comparable prices, the Ryzen 7000 may seem less attractive due to the significantly lower number of cores. Recall that Raptor Lake will double the maximum number of small cores, so the top-end Core i9-13900K will offer 24 cores, but there will be only eight large ones.

Back to AMD’s new releases, the 16-core Ryzen 9 7950X is expected to run at an incredible 4.5-5.85 GHz.

Nvidia where are the normal prices for inexpensive video cards

Despite the fact that a few months ago the average prices for video cards were at the level of recommended values, individual models have room for cheaper prices and they are getting cheaper.

Nvidia, where are the normal prices for inexpensive video cards? In Europe, prices fell by half of the Radeon RX 6000 models and just two RTX 30 models

In particular, affordable AMD models were actively getting cheaper in the first half of the year and now they are generally not getting cheaper, but the more expensive ones continue to fall.

For example, as you can see, the Radeon RX 6950 XT, instead of 1173 euros a couple of months ago, now costs only 900 euros, and this is the most productive AMD card and, together with the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, one of the most productive on the market in general. At least until the start of sales of the RTX 4090. At the same time, just a couple of months ago, the RX 6900 XT cost the same as the RX 6950 XT now, the RX 6800 XT, like the RX 6900 XT, and so on.

Things are not so good with Nvidia cards. Here, only two top models fell in price, however, both are very significant. The situation is worse with other adapters. For example, the popular RTX 3060 is now worth as much as the significantly more powerful RX 6650 XT, and the RTX 3080 Ti is 100 euros more expensive than the RX 6950 XT.

Attraction of unheard of generosity US Ryzen 7000 Buyers Get

The American retailer Microcenter, which has recently reduced the cost of 12th generation Intel Core processors, has launched a very attractive promotion for everyone who switches to the AMD AM5 platform. The seller offers buyers of Ryzen 7000 processors of the Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 9 series (Ryzen 5 7600X, of course, does not participate in the promotion) DDR5 memory for free.

And we are not talking about some kind of OEM memory, but about a completely branded G.Skill Flare X5 with support for EXPO profiles. The kit consists of two DDR5-5600 modules with a capacity of 16 GB each. The cost of this memory kit, if purchased separately, is $190 in the US.

Acer decided to enter the video card market and not with Nvidia or AMD products. Acer has unveiled its first 3D card today and it’s the Arc A770 Predator BiFrost.

Acer decided to enter the video card market, starting with Intel adapters. Introduced unusual design Arc A770 Predator BiFrost

Whether Acer will release only Intel cards is still unknown. In this case, we can see a non-reference design, two eight-pin power connectors at once (the reference card has 6 + 8 connectors) and a very unusual cooling system with two fans, which are very different both in size and design. The smaller one is completely similar to the centrifugal one, but it is impossible to say for sure from one image.

There is also no data on the Acer card yet. Recall, Arc A770 has 8 or 16 GB of memory and 4096 FP32 blocks. The card is priced at $330 or $350, depending on the version. Intel also introduced the more affordable Arc A750, priced at $290.
