A study by analyst firm TrendForce shows that sales of DRAM memory chips in the last quarter decreased by almost 6% compared to the third quarter. Analysts believe that the reason was the difficulty in the production of consumer electronics devices due to the lack of other chips. Under these conditions, manufacturers are less interested in stocking memory chips in relatively large quantities. This is most evident in the position of PC OEMs, who have 10 weeks or more of DRAM in stock. As a result, DRAM makers faced a decrease in orders in the fourth quarter of 2021, which in turn led to lower prices. According to TrendForce estimates, Q4 2021 DRAM output in monetary terms decreased by 5.8% compared to the third quarter, to $25.03 billion. At the same time, which suppliers, for example, SK hynix, on the contrary, were able to increase sales.

Samsung reduced sales by 9.4%, from 11.680 to 10.580 billion dollars. As a result, its share owned by it decreased from 44.0% to 42.3%. SK hynix increased sales by 2.8% from $7.225 billion to $7.426 billion. Its share increased from 27.2% to 29.7%. Micron cut sales by 8.3% from $6.091 billion to $5.587 billion. The share of Micron decreased from 22.9% to 22.3%. It is easy to calculate that the total share of these three companies at the end of the quarter is 94.3%.

The WhatsApp messenger development team has released update 2.23.11.19 for the Android operating system. It is already available to some beta testers through the Google Play Beta Program. The new version has the ability to share your screen with the interlocutor during a video call. To do this, you need to click on the new icon located in the call control window. In this case, everything that is displayed on the screen will be recorded and transferred to another user.

The transfer of screen contents during a video call will be continuous, but it can be interrupted at any time: the user retains full control, experts at the WABetaInfo resource say. And, of course, the broadcast will only start after the user agrees to share the screen.

Please note that the new feature may not be available on smartphones running older versions of the Android OS, or it may not work when calling in large groups. Also, the interlocutor may not accept the screen picture if he uses an outdated version of WhatsApp. While the ability to share the contents of your screen has become available only to some beta testers, it is expected that more users of the messenger will be able to evaluate it in the near future.

You can also see from Nvidia’s graph that the company expects a linear increase in performance relative to the current generation. That is, if we recall that the Nvidia A100 on the Ampere architecture offered a performance of about 20 TFLOPS, and the H100 already provides 60 TFLOPS, then the new solution can overcome the mark of 100 TFLOPS.
