In less than two weeks, Huawei HarmonyOS 2.0 was installed on 18 million devices

Huawei unveiled a custom version of the HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system on June 2, and from the same day, China began distributing the beta version of the operating system for various smartphones and tablets of the company. In less than a week, the proprietary Android replacement reached 10 million of the company’s devices, and in 13 days the coverage expanded to 18 million.

More specifically, from June 2 to June 15, HarmonyOS 2.0 was installed on 18.349 million devices. Most came in the public beta (15.514 million), and the internal beta was installed on 2.835 million devices.

The most popular smartphones among those migrating to HarmonyOS 2.0 are the Huawei Mate 30, accounting for 44.6% of all installations. In particular, 22.5% – Mate 30, 22.1% – Mate 30 Pro. The second place is taken by smartphones of the P40 series, accounting for 30.6% of installations. Of this number, P40 Pro – 17.9%, P40 – 12.7%. Finally, the Mate 40 Pro accounts for 15.7%.

Really the fastest Redmi K50 Extreme Edition showed its capabilities

Last week, Xiaomi officially announced the top flagship smartphone Redmi K50 Extreme Edition, which appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking site with model number 22081212C.

According to Geekbench, the Redmi K50 Extreme Edition is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC and 12GB of RAM. It scored 1339 points in single-core mode and 4389 points in multi-core mode. In comparison, the Geekbench score for the new Realme GT2 Master Explorer Edition smartphone also equipped with Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 is 1296 and 4211 respectively. It previously scored 1,120,691 on the popular benchmark app AnTuTu, beating out Asus ROG Phone 6 and Xiaomi 12S Ultra.

Redmi CEO Lu Weibing stressed that it will be the most powerful smartphone in the history of the brand, as well as “a perfect masterpiece that combines all the advanced technologies of Redmi.”

It is expected that the smartphone will receive a 1080p flat screen with support for 120 Hz – the same as the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition. Redmi K50 Ultra will come with 120W fast charging support.

The presentation of the smartphone is expected on August 11, along with the huge Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Pro and the foldable Xiaomi Mix Fold 2.
