Improved Cyberpunk 2077 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X postponed until the second half of the year

CD Projekt RED, which released the acclaimed game Cyberpunk 2077, published a video in which one of the founders, Marcin Iwinski, again apologized for the state of the console versions of the game, and also talked about the current plans and schedule for the release of updates.
At the moment, the developers at CD Projekt RED are focused on fixing bugs and glitches that players are experiencing on all platforms. Fans can expect more patches to be released regularly, both small and large. The next update will be released in the next 10 days, followed by a larger update in a few weeks. The company plans to make the game better and better over the long term.
We still plan on releasing free DLCs for the game, just like with The Witcher 3. However, we decided that our priority was to work on the most important fixes and updates. We’ll be releasing free DLCs later – we’ll share more on that in the coming months.
Marcin Iwinski
It was previously promised that a special improved version of Cyberpunk 2077 for next generation consoles will be released in early 2021, but now plans have changed.
We’re planning a free next generation update for Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 this year. We are aiming for the second half of the year and will tell you more when we have something to share.
