The Chinese company Oppo has unveiled its new flagship smartphone Oppo Find X3 Pro with several unusual features.
One of the “highlights” of the smartphone is its rear panel. The Terminator 2-style surface is actually not made of liquid metal, but a single piece of glass, including the camera protrusion. Previously, Oppo called it “an impossible surface smartphone” and featured a complex manufacturing process.
The second unusual feature is the main camera, nicknamed the “microscope”. This title is awarded thanks to the 3-megapixel module with f / 3.0 aperture, the declared 60x magnification and the ability to shoot Full HD videos.
As noted by The Verge, which has already tested the smartphone, the camera really looks more like a microscope than the now “useless” macro modules that can be found in some smartphones.

Also, the main camera received a main module (Sony IMX766 50 Mp, f / 1.8, optical stabilization), an ultra wide-angle module (Sony IMX766 50 Mp, f / 2.2), a periscope module (13 Mp, f / 2.4, 2x optical zoom).
The smartphone is equipped with a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a Quad HD + resolution (1440 x 3216 pixels) with an adaptive image refresh rate (5-120 Hz), protective Corning Gorilla Glass 5, a 32 MP front camera, an under-screen fingerprint scanner, SoC Snapdragon 888, 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal flash memory, rechargeable capacity. 4500mAh with support for 65W fast charging and 30W wireless charging.
IP68 water protection, stereo speakers, USB Type-C, 5G support, Wi-Fi 6 (802.11 ax), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, GLONASS and NFC are also noted. The smartphone weighs 193 grams and measures 163.4 x 74 x 8.3 mm. The Android 11 operating system with the ColorOS 11.2 shell is installed out of the box.
The Oppo Find X3 Pro is available in black and blue, priced at € 1,149, with sales starting on April 14th.
“There are a lot of technical problems that we are slowly coping with.” Evgeny Kaspersky spoke about a branded secure smartphone, which does not yet have a camera and performance problems
On the sidelines of the Army-2022 forum, Kaspersky Lab CEO Evgeny Kaspersky announced that the company is finalizing the functionality of its hack-proof mobile phone to work with critical infrastructure.
“We wrote everything from scratch, so we still need to finish it. Camera does not work. We do, but it takes time. Plus performance – there is still work to make it work at the same speed that we are used to. There are a lot of technical problems that we are slowly coping with. When we show it and say it’s ready, I don’t know“Kaspersky said.
According to him, the device will be something between a regular smartphone and a push-button phone. “However, we do not consider it as a replacement for a regular smartphone. Still, this is more for working with critical infrastructure. … Modernity requires that infrastructure can be managed remotely. Therefore, a device is required that will be guaranteed unhackable. Therefore, we are making a device that will have a fairly limited functionality. There will be no App Store, there will be no chips that everyone loves on smartphones, but it will be a thing that can be safely controlled by a conditional turbine“Kaspersky added.
For the first time, Kaspersky announced work on creating smartphones under its own brand with protection against hackers in December 2020, then it was assumed that they would appear in 2021.
Folding smartphones Samsung Galaxy Z actively poach users of other brands. Also, buyers of such devices are more loyal.
Samsung has once again confirmed that it has big plans for the foldable smartphone market.
The head of the mobile division said that foldable Galaxy Z smartphones attract new customers three times more often than the flagship Galaxy S models. In this case, we mean users who previously owned smartphones from other brands, that is, Samsung foldable smartphones attract people who have not previously chosen regular smartphones Samsung.
The company also says that the Galaxy Z lineup does an excellent job of maintaining loyalty: these smartphones have a corresponding rate of 10% higher than the Galaxy S.
Given all this, the claim that by 2025 Galaxy Z smartphones will outsell the Galaxy S line does not seem like something strange.
The iPhone 14 Pro Max feels like a brick, and the 48-megapixel camera shoots worse at night than the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Appeared the first review of the upcoming updates Apple
An unknown source’s impressions of using the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max have appeared on the Web.
The information was shared by insider LeaksApplePro, who, among other things, shared the correct images of the iPhone 13 before the announcement last year. The insider does not disclose who exactly shared his impressions, but this is not so important.
So, the new shape of the notch in the screen does not affect the user experience. Physically, the new notch is smaller than the current one, but it works pretty much the same. That is, apparently, Apple has not figured out how to effectively use the freed up screen area.
The new camera also has nuances. The source says that during the day the new 48-megapixel sensor turns out to be the best among smartphone cameras, but at night everything is not so good, and the same iPhone 13 Pro takes better pictures and less noisy. But Apple may well fix this with a software update.
The source also says that according to his feelings, autonomy has grown by a couple of hours, but he can’t say for sure. But the speakers definitely got better.
The screens of new products are about the same as in the current generation, as well as the huge mass of the top model. The source writes that the iPhone 14 Pro Max feels like a brick.
