Toyota has begun mass production of the third-generation Toyota Sequoia SUV, which is now produced at a plant in Texas on the same line as the Tundra pickup truck. The dimensions of the car are 5286 x 2022 x 1892 mm with a wheelbase of 3099 mm.

The new generation Toyota Sequoia debuted in early 2022. The frame SUV shares a platform not only with the Tundra pickup truck, but also with the Toyota Land Cruiser 300. The model is presented in the USA with an uncontested i-Force Max hybrid installation, which consists of a 3.5-liter V6 turbo engine and an electric motor, as well as a 10-band ” machine.” The combined output of the system is the same as that of the Tundra: 443 hp. and 790 Nm of torque.

Fuel efficiency is considered an advantage of the new Sequoia: a full-size rear-wheel drive SUV consumes 10.7 liters of fuel per 100 km in the combined cycle. For comparison: the predecessor of the 2007 model spent 15.7 liters of gasoline. The SUV can tow a trailer weighing 4 tons (22% more than the previous generation).

Already in the basic version, the Toyota Sequoia 2023 received Wi-Fi, adaptive cruise control, an electric tailgate, automatic braking and marking control systems. The top version of Capstone received a panoramic roof, 22-inch wheels, a projection on the windshield, all-round cameras, ventilation of the first and second row seats, a third row with electric drive, as well as 120-volt sockets in the cabin and in the luggage compartment.

The car is offered in the US at a price of 59.8 thousand to 79.8 thousand dollars for the top all-wheel drive Toyota Sequoia Capstone 4×4.

Bullitt Group and MediaTek want to launch a satellite enabled smartphone

The British manufacturer Bullitt Group, which produces devices under the brands CAT and Motorola, intends to release a smartphone with satellite communications. They want to implement this project together with the Chinese chipmaker MediaTek.

Bullitt Group and MediaTek want to launch a satellite-enabled smartphone

It is assumed that the new smartphone will provide calls and text data via satellite, although it is not yet clear how this will work. The device itself will be released in the first quarter of 2023.

The novelty has been developed for two years, so the project is nearing completion. According to Bullitt Group co-founder Richard Wharton, previously the seamless integration of satellite communications into a smartphone was accompanied by problems, but now they are solved.

The new phone will be the first to use MediaTek’s 3GPP NTN chipset. The software will keep track of what type of connection is currently being used – Wi-Fi or cellular network. The connection to the satellite will be carried out only in the absence of both of these options.

It is claimed that the time to connect to the satellite and send a message is about 10 seconds. This is longer than a regular connection, but still pretty fast.

Note that Apple already has this and Samsung will soon have it.

The GeForce RTX 4080 can also be overclocked to incredible

Galax continues to prove that they are one of the best when it comes to overclocking graphics cards. After the departure of EVGA, Galax as a whole is probably the only company that places a strong emphasis on this direction.

The GeForce RTX 4080 can also be overclocked to incredible frequencies. Galax RTX 4080 SG took the frequency over 3.6 GHz on the core

The GeForce RTX 4080 SG model was able to overclock to a frequency of over 3.6 GHz on the core. More precisely, we are talking about a frequency of 3615 MHz. This is slightly less than the RTX 4090 HOF at 3.8 GHz, but it’s still an incredible figure. Especially if you keep in mind that the GeForce RTX 4080 SG is no match for the HOF versions. At the same time, it is not yet known whether Galax will release the RTX 4080 HOF.

Galax, unfortunately, does not disclose overclocking details, but it can be assumed that we are talking about the use of liquid nitrogen, as in the case of extreme overclocking RTX 4090 HOF.

According to Xiaomi, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC will be head and shoulders above its predecessor

Allegedly, with such indicators, the processor part will be at the level of the Apple A16 Bionic, and the graphics part of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will be even higher.

At the same time, it is not clear what tests Xiaomi is talking about, since, for example, in Geekbench, the new Qualcomm platform really catches up with the A16 Bionic, but only in multi-threaded mode.

Whatever the case, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is sure to be very powerful, but that has been true of all flagship platforms for years now.
