China plans to build a base on the moon by

While the United States has finally begun the first phase of the Artemis program, which is expected to return astronauts to the moon in 2025, China, according to recent data, plans to build a base on the moon at almost the same time.

China plans to build a base on the moon by 2028

As part of the current plans of the Celestial Empire, they want to create a base on our natural satellite by 2028. But this means that it will have to start building much earlier.

The station will be powered by a nuclear reactor.

We are currently developing a new system that uses nuclear energy to meet the long-term energy needs of the lunar station.

chief developer of China’s lunar exploration program Wu Weiren

What will be the Chinese lunar base is not yet clear, but no one has yet said that it will be an object intended for any long stay of people there. It is known that we are talking about a landing module, a kind of bunker, a lunar rover and an orbital station.

Previously, there was also information that the power of a nuclear installation to power such a base could reach 1 MW.

Earlier, the US also talked about placing a nuclear installation on the Moon by 2030. Thus, taking into account the accelerating race for the exploration of the Moon, in 10 years there really can be two bases there, albeit not yet designed for long-term residence of astronauts.

Fiat has opened the first store in the metaverse called the Fiat Metaverse Store. The store was developed jointly with Touchcast and Microsoft, so for now only the Fiat 500 La Prima electric car is on sale, but by the end of the year the entire Fiat 500 series will appear. And in early 2023, the entire range of cars will be available there.

Access to the store does not require VR headsets or other equipment. This was made possible by the Metaverse-as-a-Service Touchcast platform, which runs on the Microsoft Cloud.

The store also has a virtual employee who will show the electric car and talk about all its features.

AppStore Blocked Coinbase Wallet App Update

You might have noticed you can’t send NFTs on Coinbase Wallet iOS anymore. This is because Apple blocked our last app release until we disabled the feature. ????

The developers of Coinbase Wallet have stated that a new version of their application will not be released until they agree to pay 30% transaction fees through the Apple payment system.

“Apple claims that the gas required to send NFTs must be paid through their In-App Purchase system so they can receive 30% [комиссии] from the commission,” wrote Coinbase.

Coinbase representatives tried to convey to Apple that this is technically impossible, since such operations take place on the basis of the blockchain, the technology of which is not supported by the App Store payment system.

“The biggest impact of this change is on iPhone users who own NFTs. […] Apple just made it much more difficult to transfer them to other wallets and give them to friends or family,” the statement said.

Coinbase admitted that this was a mistake on Apple’s part and called for negotiations.

MetaMask co-founder and former Apple employee Dan Finley has criticized the tech giant for “abusing its monopoly.” Moreover, he stated that his company is ready to abandon the Apple ecosystem if the AppStore does not change its mind.
