Huawei showed its first smartphone without cutouts and holes live
The Huawei HarmonyOS 3.0 operating system was recently officially introduced. Now, the source has published footage from the commercial, which for the first time showed a Huawei smartphone with an under-screen camera.
It is reported to be a clamshell phone that is similar in design to the previously released Huawei P50 Pocket, however the main foldable screen has no cutouts or holes. But even in the screenshot you can see the place under the screen where the camera is located.
Back in February last year, Huawei received two patents for smartphones with an under-display camera. However, the manufacturer has not yet made any official announcements.
Considering that the Huawei P50 Pocket was unveiled earlier this year, we can assume that its successor with an under-screen camera will be released only in 2023.

OnePlus 12 and its record-breaking screen were shown in live photos a week before the smartphone’s premiere

Insider Digital Chat Station published live photos of the future flagship OnePlus 12. The emphasis is on the screen, and in this model it will be a record-breaking one: OnePlus has already announced that the peak brightness will be 4500 cd/sq.m. – more than any other smartphone already officially presented.
OnePlus 12 will have an OLED BOE X1 panel with a resolution of 3168 x 1440 pixels. One of the pictures below compares this panel with the 2K CSOT panel. The frame rate will be 120 Hz, the PWM adjustment frequency will be 2160 Hz.
The official premiere of OnePlus 12 will take place on December 5. The smartphone will receive a heavily updated Hasselblad camera (you can see sample photos here) and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
Previously, Digital Chat Station was the first to accurately report the specifications and release dates of Redmi K50 and Xiaomi 12.

Xiaomi introduced the inexpensive Redmi K70E – the first smartphone with MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra and HyperOS

In addition to Redmi K70, Redmi K70 Pro and Redmi K70 Pro Champion Edition, Xiaomi today presented the junior model in the “anniversary” series Redmi K70 in honor of the 10th anniversary of the Redmi brand. As expected, it was Redmi K70E.
Redmi K70E is positioned as the first smartphone with the MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra hardware platform, as well as the HyperOS operating system based on Android 14 right out of the box.
Prices for Redmi K70E start at $282 – and this is for the version with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal flash memory. Sales have already begun.
Redmi K70E is equipped with a 5500 mAh battery with support for 90 W charging. The smartphone is quite thin – 8.05 mm, and it weighs 198 grams. Other characteristics include a 6.67-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1.5K (2712 x 1220 pixels) and a frame rate of 120 Hz, a triple main camera (64 MP module with OIS, 8 MP ultra-wide-angle and 2 MP macro), front 32 MP camera, 5G and NFC support.

Redmi K70 Pro presented: an AI smartphone with a super-bright, flicker-free screen, record-breaking (for Redmi) performance and a brand new camera

Today in China, Redmi officially introduced the new flagship Redmi K70 Pro. This is the brand’s first smartphone based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 single-chip system.
Accordingly, this is the most powerful Redmi in history. In AnTuTu, Redmi K70 Pro scores 2.247 million points – on par with Xiaomi 14 and other flagships on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (except for Red Magic 9 Pro). A very large vapor chamber is responsible for cooling the SoC and components.
The temperature of the components is monitored by 9 sensors, and they are located not only in the area of the SoC and battery, but also in the main camera modules. Data from these sensors is analyzed by AI. In general, AI is used almost everywhere in the Redmi K70 Pro (this also applies to scenarios for using the smartphone by the user, and analysis of shooting conditions, and optimization of performance in games), so it can well be called an AI smartphone. Sorry, Samsung.
The OLED C8 screen, jointly developed by TCL and Redmi, is characterized by a diagonal of 6.67 inches and a resolution of 2K. An important feature of the display is ultra-high brightness of 4000 cd/sq.m. In terms of peak brightness, Redmi K70 Pro has surpassed all smartphones currently on the market. But OnePlus 12 will have higher peak brightness.
The main sensor of the Redmi K70 Pro main camera is a 50-megapixel Light and Shadow Hunter 800 optical format 1/1.55 inches with large pixels measuring 2 microns. The module with it includes a wide-angle lens with an F/1.6 aperture and an optical image stabilization system.
The module with a telephoto lens (it provides 2x optical zoom) uses a 50-megapixel sensor, and the third module uses a 12-megapixel sensor and an ultra-wide-angle lens with a viewing angle of 120°.
The Redmi K70 Pro battery capacity is 5000 mAh and supports 120 W charging. Redmi K70 Pro is the brand’s first model with HyperOS based on Android 14 out of the box.
Prices for the version with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash memory are $460. Redmi K70 Pro has become the most affordable smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3; other flagships are about $100 more expensive.
