Huawei sharply responded to gloomy forecasts

by Henry Brown

Huawei founder and CEO Ren Zhengfei said the challenges facing the Chinese company will help forge new heroes tempered by hardships. He acknowledged that the company may have difficult times, but it is definitely not going to leave the market.

We will remind, the famous Chinese analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (Ming-Chi Kuo) recently voiced a gloomy forecast for the future of the Chinese tech giant Huawei. According to analysts, the best scenario is a noticeable reduction in Huawei’s share of the smartphone market. In a worst-case scenario, Huawei will completely withdraw from the mobile phone market.

Huawei Technologies’ CEO and Founder said the company has worked under pressure in troubled times before, but that it has also nurtured talented employees around the world. The company’s research and development system alone has 90,000 employees, far more than most Western technology companies.

Earlier this month, the US Department of Commerce further tightened rules restricting the sale of microchips and other technologies to Huawei, effectively barring any company anywhere in the world from supplying it with chips without US approval.
