Huawei P50 Pro did not receive an inch image sensor, but that did not stop it from becoming the best camera phone in the world

Huawei did not go into the detailed specifications of all modules of the main camera of the P50 Pro smartphone during the announcement, but they have become known now. Recall that rumors attributed to this model an optical format image sensor of about one inch (roughly the same as that of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra), but this week it turned out that the optical format of the main 50-megapixel P50 Pro sensor is quite standard 1 / 1.5 inches. Some mid-range smartphones have sensors of a similar optical format, only they could not take first place in the DxOMark ranking, but the Huawei P50 Pro did. That is, Huawei was able to squeeze more out of the available not the most advanced components than its competitors.

So, the main sensor of the main camera is a 50-megapixel 1 / 1.5-inch optical format. It is connected to a fast F / 1.8 lens with a focal length of 23 mm. The module responsible for the zoom – with a 64-megapixel sensor optical format 1/2 “and a lens with an F / 3.5 aperture and a focal length of 90 mm. It provides 3.5x optical zoom. The third module has a 13-megapixel 1 / 2.7-inch optical format sensor and an ultra-wide-angle lens with a focal length of 13 mm and an aperture of f / 2.2. Finally, the fourth module – with a 40-megapixel monochrome sensor with an optical format of 1 / 1.8 inches and a lens with a focal length of 27 mm and an aperture of F / 1.6. It turns out that the main camera of the Huawei P50 Pro has two wide-angle lenses and one ultra-wide-angle lens.
