Huawei has miscalculated – selling Honor is a big mistake

Analysts at DigiTimes argue that selling the Honor brand is one of the biggest mistakes Chinese tech giant Huawei made. The fact is that in the future, Honor smartphones may well compete with Huawei products.

Experts believe that Honor has every chance of becoming one of the most popular smartphone manufacturers in China. In addition, Honor in the future may also compete on equal terms with other large companies from the Middle Kingdom – Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo and so on.

Recall that Honor was valued at about $ 15 billion. The new brand owner is Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology. The terms of the deal suggest that Huawei will not be able to own shares or participate in any way in the management of Honor.

Earlier, Huawei’s management stated that about 70 million Honor smartphones are sold annually in the world.
