Huawei Technologies yesterday blamed the US for the crisis that shook the global tech industry. According to the Chinese manufacturer of telecommunications equipment, the global shortage of microcircuits was caused by Washington’s sanctions against Chinese companies, which provoked “panic purchases” of semiconductor products and other components.

“Due to the US sanctions against Huawei, we have witnessed a panic buildup of reserves by global companies, especially Chinese ones. In the past, companies accumulated almost no inventory, but now they are accumulating reserves for three or six months … and this led to the disruption of the entire system, “said Eric Xu, Chairman of the Board of Huawei.

“It is clear that the unjustified US sanctions against Huawei and others [Chinese] companies create supply shortages throughout the industry, and this could even provoke a new global economic crisis, ”he added.

According to the chairman, the US trade restrictions on Huawei have not only undermined the company’s operations, but also destroyed the trust that existed in the global semiconductor supply chain. Now more and more countries are seeking to acquire their own chip production instead of relying on overseas supplies. This will require at least $ 1 trillion in upfront investment, which will drive up semiconductor prices by 35-65% and ultimately increase the cost of electronic devices to end users. The US Semiconductor Industry Association warned the administration of the President of the United States about this.

The iPhone may finally have a feature that was still

Apple’s next generation of smartphones may finally get an important feature that has been on many Android phones for years. It’s about Always On Display.

The iPhone may finally have a feature that was still on the old Nokia smartphones. iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max may get Always On Display

In the current generation, in older models, Apple for the first time for the iPhone used displays with a higher frame rate. In particular, they can change the frequency from 10 to 120 Hz. The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max may get screens that can drop down to 1Hz. And this will allow Apple to implement a very energy efficient version of the Always On Display.

Ross Young, founder of research firms Display Supply Chain Consultants and DisplaySearch, expects such a feature to actually arrive on the iPhone. Also, about a year ago, the appearance of this feature was also attributed to the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max, but for some reason Apple decided not to do this.

The Always On Display feature debuted on the Nokia 6303 feature phone in 2009, and then became more widespread on the Nokia smartphone with Simbian and Lumia devices.

However, the similarities end in appearance (except for the letter S in the title). MAG Trident S 5M is devoid of a discrete graphics card, so you can call it gaming only with a stretch. It uses a Ryzen 5000 processor – you can choose from Ryzen 7, 5 and 3 options with integrated Radeon graphics.

The novelty supports up to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM. The disk subsystem is represented by two M.2 slots for Gen 3 or 4 SSDs plus space for a hard drive. And all this is housed in a case with a volume of just over two liters. At the same time, we note that to increase the amount of RAM or replace drives, the case can be easily opened.
