HTC has received an award for a device not yet unveiled. The HTC Vive Air headset is designed for fitness

The Taiwanese company has long since switched its attention to the market for virtual reality headsets, since it frankly does not succeed with smartphones in modern realities.

The next VR headset to be released under the name HTC Vive Air has already received the iF Product Design Award. The device will be aimed at fitness enthusiasts and will make workouts more fun.

HTV Vive Air is described as a virtual fitness VR headset inspired by sports shoes and designed for medium intensity workouts. The headset upper and headband are crafted from quick-drying knitwear, and the lightweight construction is ideal for home workouts. The HTV Vive Air also comes with quick release switches for the case, which make it easy to wash and dry the fabric pads.

HTC has released an official statement hinting that the headset may be officially unveiled at the Vivecon 2021 event on May 11-12.
