Taiwanese research firm TrendForce has shared its prediction that the new iPhones will be on sale in September this year. They are expected to look exactly the same as the iPhone 12 line. They will differ in the size of the cutout for the front camera.
All smartphones will have OLED screens, while the displays of the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will support 120Hz refresh rates. The novelty will be built on the basis of the Apple A15 single-chip system, which is produced by TSMC using a 5-nm technological process. As a reminder, the world’s largest contract manufacturer TSMC said it would prioritize Apple and car makers. So the Apple A15 single-chip systems will definitely be enough for all iPhone 13. The main camera of all four iPhone 13 models will have a new sensor-shift image stabilization system. The laser rangefinder will remain exclusive to the Pro models.
TrendForce predicts 12.3% more iPhones will be released this year than last year. Apple is expected to ship 223 million smartphones. The research company estimates that the iPhone 13 series will account for nearly 40% of total production.
The same company, TrendForce, previously confirmed that the iPhone 12 mini was discontinued in the second quarter of this year due to very low sales.
