As of the beginning of this year, YouTube had over 2.3 billion active users, and YouTube’s paid services continue to grow in subscribers. If in Q3 2020 there were 30 million subscribers in YouTube Premium and Music Premium, now there are already 50 million paid subscribers.

This also includes users who are trials of YouTube Premium and Music Premium. The company does not disclose how much revenue it makes from these subscribers or the average price that subscribers pay for its services.

Google has tried many times to launch a music subscription over the past decade. But now it looks like the company has finally found a way to offer a competing service to Spotify called YouTube Music. According to Midia Research, YouTube is currently ranked as the fastest growing paid music service in the world. It now has 8% of the world’s subscribers, but Spotify continues to be the leader by a wide margin.

YouTube reported revenue of $ 7 billion in the last quarter, up 84% from last year.

In the near future, thousands of Tesla owners will be able to test the FSD autopilot

Published

on

From next week, Tesla plans to give access to the FSD (Full Self-Driving) autopilot function to approximately 1,000 people a week. At the moment, only about 2,000 drivers can use FSD in general.

At the same time, as mentioned earlier, drivers will have to prove that they themselves drive well. Telemetry data from the last week and Tesla Insurance calculator will be used for estimation.

During the first days, only those drivers who will be assessed for the maximum 100 points will receive access. Tesla will then lower the entry threshold little by little, but it’s unclear how much.

Also remember that access to the FSD function, which is still in beta, costs $ 10,000. So not every Tesla owner will be able to try out the best autopilot available in a production car.

Samsung has been producing smartwatches since 2013. The most recent novelties are now the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic (review). And the company continues to work in this direction.

A new smartwatch patent was obtained by Samsung from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and describes “An electronic device containing multiple types of solar cells.”

the patent describes a Samsung Galaxy Watch with a strap that has solar panels embedded on both sides of the watch case. Such a watch will be able to recharge its battery from the sun. Placing solar cells on either side of the watch case allows for ample amount of sunlight to be collected, no matter how the watch is worn.

The Korean manufacturer describes the use of various types of solar cells that can provide relatively high efficiency.

As noted by LetsGoDigital, such a watch may come out under the name Galaxy Watch 5 or Galaxy Watch Solar, but no specifics are yet known. Brands like Garmin and Casio have already shown that such solutions are possible. This allows us to hope for a relatively early release of such Samsung watches.
