According to recent data, the 16-core Ryzen 9 7950X processor will be able to operate at up to 5.85 GHz. This frequency will be achievable when the Precision Boost Overdrive mode is activated.

By comparison, the Ryzen 9 5950X maxes out at 4.9 GHz, which means if the latest data is correct, AMD has managed to bump the clock up by almost 1 GHz in just one generation. By the way, 5.85 GHz will be the maximum frequency available on any chip manufactured using the TSMC N5 process technology. Such a high frequency, by the way, explains the huge performance increase that we saw in recent tests.

It is worth noting that another source mentioned a frequency of 5.85 GHz back in May, but then it was not known which CPU could work with such a high rate. There were even versions that it would be a separate model for enthusiasts, and the Ryzen 9 7950X would be limited to 5.5 GHz.

The announcement of the new Ryzen 7000 CPUs should take place tomorrow, but they will only appear on sale at the end of September.

The first photos of a not-so-ordinary Radeon video card have appeared on the Web. We are talking about the mining version of the Radeon RX 6700 XL.

Previously, gamers were taken away for miners, but now it’s the other way around. XFX releases Radeon RX 6700 XL gaming graphics card

In this case, the XFX adapter is captured. The card is very large and has a very impressive cooling system.

Initially, the Radeon RX 6700 XL, which is equipped with 10 GB of memory, did not go on sale. Instead, AMD partners have made such cards available only to miners. Later, Sapphire released a similar retail solution called the RX 6700, and now it looks like XFX wants to do the same, only under the name RX 6700 XL.

Technically it’s the same card. It has a GPU with 2304 stream processors versus 2560 p.p. for the RX 6700XT. In addition, in the younger version, the bus has been cut down to 160-bit.

Of course, the performance of such a card is lower than that of the RX 6700 XT, but higher than that of the RX 6650 XT. At the same time, in Europe for the RX 6700 XT they ask from 470 euros, but the RX 6700 will cost 430 euros.

The share of Microsoft Windows 11 increased by 1.06%. More and more users are moving from Windows 10 and Windows 7 to the new system, which may be due to the release of Windows 11 22H2. Overall, Windows accounts for 96.41% and OSX for 2.36%.

In terms of graphics cards, the GeForce GTX 1060, GTX 1650, and RTX 2060 are still the top three graphics cards with the most users, and their share has increased. The share of graphics cards for laptops RTX 3060 increased by 0.61%, this card closes the top five. And the fourth place was taken by the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti.

Here is the support ASRock replaces motherboards under warranty if

ASRock has launched new socket AM5 motherboards into the market. And they turned out to be problematic, but the point here is not in the technical aspects. As it turned out, the new boards with AMD X670E logic had a specific defect – their RAM slots were covered with a sticker that could hardly be torn off. Because of this, traces of glue remained on the connectors.

The same sticker

According to Reddit, the problem concerned the first copies of the X670E Steel Legend line. On the sticker itself there was a warning that after resetting CMOS, the first launch could be long – up to 6.5 minutes when installing four 32 GB modules.

And traces after it

This sticker was supposed to warn potentially dissatisfied customers about a slow system boot, but caused a warranty claim for a different reason. To the credit of the company, they decided not to tempt fate and simply changed the boards to new ones.

It is noteworthy that the slow first boot manifested itself on older BIOS versions, they were updated back in September, and new boards come without stickers. So the first buyers were just a little unlucky. At the same time, we note that it is not yet clear whether the boards are changing around the world or only in certain countries. In extreme cases, the source recommends cleaning the connectors.

Earlier, photos of the ASRock A770 and A750 video cards appeared on the network.
