Sources confirm previously published information that Honor will release its first true superflagship based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC this July. In addition, information has surfaced for the first time that the company will also release its foldable smartphone around the same time. Unfortunately, there are no details about these devices yet.

Zhao Ming, CEO of the company, announced that Honor is going to release smartphones that will be better than the Huawei Mate and Huawei P series.

Honor is actively trying to forge relationships with other companies to strengthen its supply chain and product lines. The company reportedly orders parts for its smartphones from AMD, Intel, Micron, Samsung, Qualcomm, Microsoft and MediaTek.

Given that the company has spun off from Huawei, it can easily procure the necessary components from suppliers, which was previously not possible with Huawei due to the sanctions imposed by the United States in connection with the ongoing trade war between the United States and China.

Honor also confirmed that its new smartphones will receive support for Google apps and services.
