Vulnerabilities are found not only in AMD or Intel processors. A fresh vulnerability called GoFetch was found in Apple M single-chip systems for its Mac computers.

Absolutely all Mac computers based on Apple Silicon have a serious GoFetch vulnerability that cannot be fixed at the silicon level

The vulnerability allows attackers to steal cryptographic information from the CPU cache by allowing the attacker to create a cryptographic key from the stolen data, allowing the application to access sensitive encrypted data.

This vulnerability is very dangerous because it completely neutralizes the side-channel encryption algorithm used to protect against side-channel or processor cache attacks.

In addition, there is no way to fix the vulnerability at the silicon level, meaning Apple cannot start producing chips without the vulnerability. But, as in other cases, it is possible to create a software patch, but it is not yet known what share of productivity will have to be paid for this.

The software bug has since been fixed, and in October 2023, Pump and Pantry alerted police to a possible theft. Investigators were able to find Thompson by tracking the rewards card information.

Police say the card was used to claim free fuel 510 times over a six-month period and CCTV footage showed her filling up her car. The gas station's total losses were $27,860.

Theft over $5,000 is a Class IIA felony in Nebraska and can be punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

The second update has already been released in Europe and Canada, the software numbers are S92*BXXS1AXBG and S92*WVLS1AXBG, respectively. The size of the update depends on the specific model. For example, in the case of the European Galaxy S24 Plus – 285 MB, and in the case of the Galaxy S24 Ultra – 428 MB.

Interestingly, neither Samsung nor Google have yet revealed what exactly is contained in the March Android security update. But usually such updates patch several dozen previously identified holes and gaps in the software.
