Hitman trilogy game will not exceed 100 GB

The release of Hitman 3 from the studio IO Interactive is scheduled for January 20, 2021. The third and final installment of the World of Assassins trilogy will bring gamers six brand new missions and locations. Today, the game’s creators have revealed a number of technical details about the upcoming release.
Hitman 3 will receive modern graphics and game mechanics. However, this will affect not only new items: the two previous games are also being radically reworked and will receive all the new features and capabilities implemented in Hitman 3.
The developer has confirmed that the two older games will receive modern textures and improved on-screen graphics. In addition, a huge amount of work is underway to optimize the file size. Hitman and Hitman 2 currently occupy over 110GB of space, not counting DLCs and expansions. The creators of the game promise that the entire trilogy, which will become available on January 20, will require only 100 GB of disk space:
Our greatest successes are in the management of data and file structures, and in the way we compose the game, removing duplicate data. We’re also using updated and improved texture compression – that helps too.
Hitman 3 will be released on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Stadia. The pre-order is already open.
