Huawei introduced the FreeBuds Pro 2+ wireless headphones. According to her, these are the world’s first headphones with the function of measuring the pulse and body temperature of its owner. The novelty is equipped with a dual-mode heart rate sensor and supports the “industry’s first 3D intelligent temperature measurement algorithm.” Data on the user’s heart rate and body temperature in real time is sent to his smartphone, and in case of suboptimal performance, the owner of the headphones will receive a notification.

The headphones also support Huawei L2HC and LDACTM codecs and provide high-definition spatial sound transmission. Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2+ has several sound playback modes, for example, as in a concert hall or a cinema, and a six-axis position sensor is responsible for tracking the movements of the user’s head.

Could AirPods 4 only cost 100 Apple is going to

While the next-generation Apple Watch may become more sophisticated with blood pressure detection technology, the AirPods 4 may be even cheaper than the current version.

Could AirPods 4 only cost $100? Apple is going to produce a record volume of new generation headphones, taking a step into the lower segment

Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman says Apple is preparing to launch a new generation of basic AirPods into production, and plans to produce 20-25 million units, which is a record. The source also says that the new AirPods are a step towards the lower end of the market.

It is possible that this means a reduction in price. Currently, the cheapest AirPods cost $130 and are the most popular fully wireless headphones in the world. If Apple drops the price to around $100, sales could skyrocket. At the same time, you shouldn’t expect anything particularly new from headphones in this case.

AirPods Pro have been released with a touch screen on

Apple files a lot of patents, most of which will never see the light of day as consumer products. However, China has already released a product for which Apple received a patent in 2021, but never presented it. We are talking about a case for AirPods Pro with a built-in touch display.

Activated by opening the case lid, the display allows users to select noise control, Find My Headphones, select equalizer settings, and lock the screen. The display also shows users each AirPod's battery level, current time, and Bluetooth connectivity.

“The usefulness of the headphone case can be enhanced and user control over the wireless headphones can be improved by configuring the headphone case with an interactive user interface that allows the user to control operations associated with the wireless headphones,” reads Apple's 2021 patent.

iOS 18 will add a new mode to AirPods Pro

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman writes that the AirPods Pro won't see any hardware changes in 2024. However, he stated the following: “The big news will be the new hearing aid mode that will arrive with iOS 18.”

AirPods already offer Live Listen, which launched with iOS 12 in 2018. This feature essentially turns the iPhone into a directional microphone, transmitting audio recorded by that iPhone to the AirPods in real time.

In 2021, Apple also introduced Conversation Boost to AirPods Pro, which boosts microphone reception directly in front of you to better hear who's talking. A 2022 study found that some of the existing features of the AirPods Pro are already comparable to much more expensive dedicated devices.

More details about this new iOS 18 feature for AirPods Pro users are unclear. However, this is not the first time Gurman has written about Apple's plans to add new features to AirPods for users with hearing problems. Last year, he reported that Apple was also working on a hearing test feature for future AirPods.
