Mozilla is working on improving the PDF viewer in the Firefox browser. And, judging by the latest leak, it will soon have new features. So far, this is only available in the nightly build, where you can already add notes to documents.

Note that notes can be text and handwritten. In them, you can change the font and color of the text, as well as lines, both before and after creation. The appearance of these features in the release version has not yet been reported.

Similar features already exist in Microsoft Edge, where PDF editing tools are available. Mozilla appears to be following a similar path.

Earlier, the company commemorated the termination of support and the “death” of the Internet Explorer 11 browser in an original way. Mozilla sent a cake with the browser logo and the phrase “You were the IE6ing on the cake” (“You were the icing on the cake”).

Browser support ended on June 15th.

The authors of the Phoronix portal tested the AMD Epyc 7763 CPU with a new firmware designed to fix the vulnerability, and found that in a number of tasks there was no impact on performance, but in some the drop turned out to be simply huge: up to 54%, that is, more than twice. Most often, a significant decrease in performance is recorded in applications working with databases, code compilation, design and image processing.

You need to understand that in this case we are talking about the server processor and the corresponding tests under Linux. How bad things are in the case of consumer Ryzen is not yet clear.

Update number 1.395.318.0 for Windows 10 and Windows 11 adds detection of various Trojans, ransomware and backdoors, and also brings “critical” performance fixes that will improve PC performance, but not only.

However, for many users, the most noticeable change will be that Microsoft Defender has learned to detect pirated versions of the OS, reset activation and block the AutoKMS (Key Management Service), which hackers and pirates used to activate Windows for free. This is one of the most popular tools for bypassing the Microsoft licensing system.

The Iraqi Ministry of Communications has announced that it has blocked the popular messaging app Telegram for national security reasons and in order to preserve the integrity of the personal data of users who were allegedly mistreated by the app.

The app is widely used in Iraq for messaging and as a source of news and content sharing. Some channels contain large amounts of personal information, including the names, addresses, and family ties of Iraqis.

The ministry said in a statement that it asked the app to shut down “platforms that leak data from official government agencies and citizens’ personal data… but the company has not responded to any of the requests.”
