“Grater” Apple will remain in the ranks. The new Mac Pro will have the same design as the current model
It seems that the new Mac Pro will not receive not only the SoC M2 Extreme, but also a new design.
Bloomberg editor and insider Mark Gurman reports that the new Mac Pro, despite a completely new hardware configuration, will retain the current design.
Another disappointment is that the new Mac Pro will look the same as the 2019 model. The new version will also be missing one key feature that the current Mac Pro has – swappable RAM. This is because the memory is directly tied to the M2 Ultra motherboard. However, there are two slots for SSD storage and for graphics, media, and network cards.
That is, the new PC will retain the same chassis that the Mac Pro has now, switch to the new SoC M2 Ultra, but lose upgradeable RAM. However, the last aspect is quite logical, since the memory of the Apple M platforms is universal and soldered on the same substrate with the SoC chip.
Overall, the current Mac Pro came out in 2019, and Apple likes to use the design in many models for a very long time. Also, if the Mac Pro is made to look like the Mac Studio, it will be limited in its upgradeability.

What is the latest Dacia Duster for a minimum of 19.7 thousand euros? Images of the basic version of the crossover, which does not have a single screen (except for the on-board computer)
The new Dacia Duster in the basic version is like a complete antagonist of Chinese crossovers: if in China a car for 20 thousand euros will have at least two screens, a panoramic roof, atmospheric lighting, keyless entry and much more, then in the basic Dacia Duster for 19, 7 thousand euros – a 3.5-inch on-board computer screen, a fabric interior and a simple audio system with Bluetooth and 4 speakers.
But if we talk about safety systems (or technologies that somehow affect safety), then the basic Duster has everything quite well: it has front airbags and curtain airbags, an emergency braking system with pedestrian recognition, a lane departure control system, parking rear sensors. There's also air conditioning, cruise control, a tire pressure monitoring system and LED daytime running lights.
Under the hood of the base Duster is a 1.0-liter gasoline engine with a power of 100 hp, working in conjunction with a manual gearbox. Naturally, it is front-wheel drive only. But there is one interesting point: the engine runs on gasoline and propane, there are also two fuel tanks, so the range of this crossover is 1250 km!

In China, they “imported” Apple Mac Studio. The SZBOX FN60G mini PC with a volume of only 2.5 liters can install an Intel processor for the LGA1700 socket and GeForce RTX 4060
As reported by ITHome, the SZBOX FN60G mini-computer has been introduced in China, which with its aluminum body is very reminiscent of the Apple Mac Studio.
With a small volume of only 2.5 liters, inside you can install not only any Intel processor for the LGA1700 socket (the only limitation is TDP no more than 100 W), but also a discrete video card. The source talks about a “modified” GeForce RTX 4060 or AMD Radeon RX6600. We are probably talking about models for Mini-ITX cases.
On the inside of the motherboard (the chipset model is not reported) there are two slots for DIMM DDR5 RAM modules (maximum RAM – 64 GB), as well as two M.2 connectors for installing solid-state drives. The interface connectors are well demonstrated in the image below.
SZBOX FN60G is already on sale on Aliexpress, but the price is considerable – 745 euros.

Startup Efficient Computer has unveiled the Monza processor, which the company claims is nearly 100 times more energy efficient than general purpose processors on the market today.
The secret to this potentially revolutionary achievement lies in its reconfigurable architecture and software stack.
Current general purpose processors are too general purpose and waste the vast majority of their energy (>99%) on unimportant internal data movement and instruction management overhead. Scaling performance requires complex power-intensive optimizations that further increase power consumption. The inefficiency of these designs causes the battery to drain quickly, limiting the device's capabilities and requiring frequent recharging or battery replacement.
Efficient's new Fabric architecture is a unique approach to general-purpose computing that eliminates the excessive power overhead inherent in existing general-purpose computing architectures. The new Efficient architecture significantly improves the energy efficiency of chips, bringing computing capabilities to use cases that were previously not possible due to limited energy availability. For example, a smartwatch or wearable health device can last for weeks on a charge and support more sophisticated analysis of sensor data, while a remote sensing satellite can provide highly accurate data using the limited energy of a nanosatellite's small battery
The company notes that compared to modern GPUs, its chip consumes three orders of magnitude less energy. The Fabric architecture was developed through more than seven years of research at Carnegie Mellon University, and the company's website includes links to scientific papers.
The company provides very few technical details, and nothing is reported at all about the Monza test processor. Given the claims of a revolutionary breakthrough in energy efficiency, this is somewhat strange.
