GoPro has officially unveiled a new flagship action camera, the Hero 9 Black, which has become one of the most important updates in the company’s lineup in 2020. In addition to the new design, which includes a front-facing color display, Hero 9 Black has become the best in literally everything – in video resolution, autonomy and stabilization, and it costs $ 449, which, unfortunately, is $ 50 more than the price last year’s Hero 8 Black.
The camera can record 5K video at 30 fps, all thanks to a new 20 MP sensor (last generation had a 12 MP sensor), also available 4K 60 fps mode. The autonomy is due to the 1720 mAh battery, which is 40 percent larger than the Hero 8 Black.
The 2019 model also did not have a “Max Lens” chip, which will now be available for $ 99. This is an additional pad that increases the viewing angle of the camera. The camera also has improved displays – front color for the preview, as well as a 2.27-inch main touchscreen, which has grown by 0.32 inches compared to the previous generation.
The new camera will be available for $ 449, or $ 349 if you buy the camera through the company’s official website along with an annual official GoPro Plus subscription, which costs $ 50 a year.
