At the beginning of this year, GoPro announced that it was going to start producing more specialized cameras. At the time, it was not very clear what exactly the company wanted, but today it introduced its first product as part of a new initiative.

GoPro has ditched the battery, screen, speakers from the Hero10 Black and is selling it all for $500. Hero10 Black Bones for FPV Drones Introduced

The new product is called Hero10 Black Bones, and in part it is still the same well-known Hero10 Black. The essence of the novelty is that it is deprived of everything superfluous for the sake of specialization.

GoPro has ditched the battery, screen, speakers from the Hero10 Black and is selling it all for $500. Hero10 Black Bones for FPV Drones Introduced

The Hero10 Black Bones is geared towards FPV drone owners, which means it’s the camera that GoPro suggests attaching to these drones. This means that the camera does not require a screen, battery, speakers and water protection. Anything useless has been removed to save weight. As a result, Hero10 Black Bones weighs only 54g compared to 158g for a conventional camera. Perhaps someone expects that this will also reduce the price, but no: Hero10 Black Bones costs the same $ 500 as the regular Hero10 Black.

Technically, the camera, of course, is completely identical to the original. True, there is a very important nuance: in order to connect the Hero10 Black Bones to your drone, you will need soldering skills. Or the desire to get them.

Rostec introduced a portable radar system to protect against drones

Ruselectronics holding, part of the Rostec State Corporation, has developed a portable radar station (RLS) to protect critical infrastructure from small drones. This was stated in the press service of Rostec.

Rostec introduced a portable radar system to protect against drones

“The device can detect small-sized drones at a distance of more than 1,000 m, including at ultra-low altitudes. The radar was created on a domestic element base, weighs only 5 kg and can be used as a wearable device.– said the press service.

They noted that the station is capable of detecting even inconspicuous drones that are in hover mode by rotating the propellers. In addition, the device can be used to search for ground objects: the radar is able to detect a car at a distance of more than 10 km.

As part of the Ruselectronics holding, the development of the radar is carried out by the Rybinsk Instrument Engineering Plant. “The radar can simultaneously track up to 32 targets, and also work in conjunction with other radar monitoring systems. To date, the station has already passed preliminary tests.– Andrey Komogortsev, General Director of the Rybinsk Instrument-Making Plant, described the novelty.

Rostec is creating a line of various means of combating UAVs. Among them are the Rat multifunctional mobile complex with a laser destruction system, the Ataka-DBS anti-civil UAV complex and electromagnetic guns.

The GeForce RTX 3050 can now also be almost fully

A couple of weeks ago, the LHR protection in Nvidia graphics cards was cracked, which allowed everyone to use accelerators for Ethereum mining at full capacity again. But in fact, then the protection of LHR v2 was cracked, but not LHR v3.

The GeForce RTX 3050 can now also be almost fully used for Ethereum mining. Nvidia LHR v3 security cracked 90%

The LHR v3 version is present in Nvidia’s latest releases: RTX 3050 and RTX 3080 12GB. And it is still not completely hacked, but now the NiceHash miner is able to use 90% of the performance of these cards when mining cryptocurrency. It’s not a complete hack yet, but it’s getting very close.

Fortunately, at the moment the cryptocurrency market is in a state of decline, so it hardly makes any sense to buy the same RTX 3050 for mining, which means that gamers need not worry for now.

By the way, a large article has been published on our website with an analysis of methods for cracking Nvidia protection.
