Google will try to transfer some of the new features from the Pixel 6 to older smartphones

Published

on

Google has introduced many new features for its new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones. Especially camera related. One would think that these features will not come to the previous generations of Pixel, since the new products are based on special Tensor SoCs, and the old models rely on Qualcomm solutions. However, this is not the case.

Some of the new features will still appear on older Pixel generations.

As with all Pixel features, we strive to provide as many of these as possible for older Pixels where technically possible – although it may take some time to implement. Some technologies will require additional technical investments, such as the Live Translate feature, since our language models on new smartphones are designed to run on the proprietary Tensor SoC (which is not available on older Pixel models). We do not currently have an exact rollout date on older Pixel versions, but stay tuned for more news in the future.

As such, Google will continue to adhere to its strategy of expanding the availability of new features.

As the thematic resource Sammobile writes with reference to its sources, Galaxy S22, the base model of Samsung’s new flagship line is likely to keep the cost at the level of its predecessor – Galaxy S21. That is, the price will be $ 800 for the base version of the Galaxy S22. Rumors have credited Samsung with wanting to sell 14 million Galaxy S22 smartphones next year, and such a conservative pricing approach will only help achieve that goal.

There is no such data regarding other smartphones of the line. So the Galaxy S22 Plus and Galaxy S22 Ultra may well go up in price. As for the Galaxy S22, Samsung will have to somehow separate it from the Galaxy S21 FE, which will cost only $ 100 less ($ 700). And if earlier, with the same price difference between the Galaxy S20 FE and Galaxy S21, Samsung had no problems, because these smartphones came out with a big time difference, now there will definitely be problems, since the Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy S22 will go on sale with a difference of about a month.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3, as it turned out, became the most popular smartphone in the manufacturer’s home market in the last quarter.

Galaxy Z Flip 3, despite the far from the lowest price and not yet the most familiar form factor, managed to bypass all competitors, and the diagram shows that it is noticeably bypassed.

The second place went to the Galaxy S21, and the third place was taken by the inexpensive Galaxy A32. In addition, the Fold 3 entered the top ten, and in fourth place, and the tenth place of the very specific Galaxy Quantum 2 with a quantum random number generator seems to be something incredible at all.
