Google Maps turn-by-turn navigation now available on smartwatches
Google has made an important update to its mapping service Google Maps (Google Maps). Users can now run Google Maps turn-by-turn navigation right on their smartwatch, without having to launch maps on their smartphone first.
Of course, there are a number of limitations. The watch must support a 4G LTE connection on its own, as well as running the Wear OS 3 platform. We are mainly talking about Pixel Watch and Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 with LTE.
Previously, using Google Maps on Wear OS smartwatches was a bit of a pain. To use the feature, you had to open the maps on your smartphone and then get turn-by-turn directions on your smartwatch. You can now start navigation from the Google Maps app on your watch or by using a voice command on the Google Digital Assistant.

It’s not Apple being greedy, it just didn’t work out for the company. The Cupertino giant has been working for three years to make the Apple Watch compatible with Android
As you know, Apple smartwatches do not work with smartphones running Android. One would think that Apple did this on purpose, but the company at least tried to implement compatibility.
As part of its response to the US Department of Justice lawsuit, the Cupertino giant said that at some point it was considering the possibility of implementing Apple Watch support for Android. And I didn’t just look at it, but worked on it for three whole years.
For what reason Apple ultimately abandoned this idea, the company does not specify, but talks about certain technical limitations.
This coincides with Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who said last year that Apple had plans to do so.

Budget crossover with style. Jetta VS5 Galaxy Watch unveiled
At a tuning exhibition in the Chinese city of Shenzhen, a new version of the Jetta VS5 crossover was presented. It received an unusual name – Jetta VS5 Galaxy Watch.
Why this particular designation was chosen is unclear, but perhaps this is a farewell (or one of the farewell) version of the current generation Jetta VS5. A new generation car should be released this year: the start of production of the new product is expected in March, and the official premiere may take place at the Beijing Motor Show at the end of April.
Be that as it may, the Jetta VS5 Galaxy Watch looks stylish with its matte dark gray body. The exterior is diluted with turquoise inserts that stretch along the perimeter of the lower part of the body. The car also has a slightly different front bumper. The light leather-wrapped interior is the same as the production version. The same applies to the units: under the hood is a 1.4-liter turbo engine with a power of 150 hp, combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
