Google is making Chrome more comfortable for large tablets. Websites automatically open in the PC version
Google is experimenting with a handy new feature for large-screen tablets. On tablets with Android installed with large enough screens, the Chrome browser will automatically be able to open sites not in the mobile version, but in the version for the PC.
The function will allow you to avoid an extra step on such tablets – to manually mark the “Version for PC” option in the browser. Google Chrome will be able to automatically prompt for the PC version of the site if the browser determines that the tablet has a large enough screen. Also, the browser can be guided by the ratio of resolution to DPI (dots per inch).
Members of the XDA Developers community of mobile developers drew attention to the description of the upcoming feature in the documentation. It is noted that the function is now in an early stage of development. If Google decides to add it to the stable releases of Chrome, then it will be useful for users of large tablets like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7. It is expected to be available in Chrome Canary test builds soon.

USB-C and A14 Bionic: the first specifications of the new iPad have become known

According to rumors, Apple will hold a presentation not only in September, but also in October. The first will show the iPhone 14, but the second, it seems, will be given to tablets. As expected, this is where the next-generation iPad and iPad Pro with the M2 processor will be shown.
Previously, images of the new iPad have already appeared on the network, and now some characteristics have been published. The novelty is credited with a large display, thin bezels and a rather large block of the main camera. In addition, the presence of a USB-C port is reported, but there will be no 33.5 mm headphone jack.
SoC Apple A14 Bionic is declared as the processor. The dimensions of the future tablet, according to the source, are 248.62 x 179.5 x 6.98 mm.
In addition, it was previously reported that the new tablet will retain a hardware button on the front panel, although the company abandoned this design in the iPhone, as well as the iPad Pro and iPad Mini.
