Google has announced a smart watch Pixel Watch with a round screen. And they won’t work with the iPhone.
Google today officially announced its Pixel Watch smartwatch. Rumors that the company will enter a new market for wearable electronics have been around for a long time, since 2016, but only this year the device can actually be bought. Pixel Watch will go on sale in the fall.
The company published a short video and kept silent about the technical details. It is only known that the frame of the device is made of recycled stainless steel, and the interchangeable straps are with the original fastening system. Promised and advanced interface with a number of branded applications (for example, Google Home to control smart home systems), and voice input, and beautiful animations.
The Pixel Watch will be tightly integrated with Fitbit’s monitoring system – Google bought the company for a reason. The device will be able to monitor heart rate throughout the day, a system for monitoring and analyzing sleep is promised. And this is clearly not the end of the matter. Interestingly, a Google official said that the Pixel Watch will not work in conjunction with the iPhone – they are designed to interact only with Android smartphones.
There are no pricing details yet, but Google is positioning the Pixel Watch as a premium device, so the price will be on par with the Apple Watch. The full premiere of the novelty will probably take place at the same event as the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. By the way, a couple of weeks ago, someone forgot the Pixel Watch prototype in an American catering establishment.
Well, in 2023, Google will introduce its brand new tablet. The company positions it as “the perfect companion for your Pixel smartphone.” Externally, the device resembles the Nest Hub, but without the base-stand. You can also note the rather wide screen bezels for a modern device, especially devices of the next year. The tablet will be based on SoC Tensor.
