Google Chrome starts loading most sites faster and safer

Google has clarified some of the nuances in connection with the transition to the HTTPS protocol in the Chrome browser.
Chrome 90 will be the first version of the browser to use HTTPS for data transmission by default, rather than HTTP as it used to be. This makes sense in cases where the user inserts an incomplete address into the address bar, for example, example.com, and the browser automatically substitutes the missing piece – https: // or http: //.
With the release of Chrome 90, it automatically substitutes HTTPS for most addresses that do not have a specified protocol type. This will not only provide more security.
Also, sites with HTTPS support will load faster. This is explained quite simply and without any malicious intent – when using HTTPS, no time is wasted on redirecting from https: // to http: //. If the browser was unable to load the site using HTTPS, then it will try HTTP. As Google points out, most sites now support HTTPS, so all of them will start loading faster.
The innovation will begin to be implemented with desktop versions of Chrome and mobile Chrome for Android, and will work in the Chrome version for iOS later.
