Google broke the law again. The company was fined for abuse of a dominant position

Published

Google has again been found guilty. This time, the search giant was fined $ 177 million in South Korea. The reason is the abuse of dominance and suppression of competition in the Android market.

According to the source, the fine is related to one of Google’s requirements for manufacturers. It implies a ban on manufacturers from installing modified versions of Android on their devices. In addition to the fine, Google was also ordered to waive the stipulated requirements.

This is far from the first such fine for Google, and hardly the last. For example, just a couple of months ago, the company was fined $ 590 million for about the same reasons, and a couple of months before that there was another fine for $ 123 million.

Haval announced seven new products they will start coming out

Haval shared its plans for the near future: from the fourth quarter of 2022 to the end of 2023, the brand will introduce as many as seven new products.

This year, PHEV versions of the Haval Monster and H-Dog crossovers will be released – these are the so-called “plug-in” hybrids with the ability to recharge from the network. Two more “hybrids” should debut in the first quarter of 2023. In the second quarter of next year, Haval will introduce two completely new models (even the body type is still unknown), and in the third quarter it is planned to release another crossover.

Haval announced seven new products: they will start coming out this year

It is assumed that many of Haval’s new products will be equipped with the proprietary LEMON DHT hybrid system. This is a series-parallel hybrid, the simplest version of which is only front-wheel drive and cannot be connected to the network. The role of the internal combustion engine here is a 1.5-liter petrol “turbo-four” with a capacity of 102 or 156 hp, which can be paired with one of the electric modules with a capacity of 136 or 177 hp.

In its most complex and expensive configuration, the LEMON DHT is an all-wheel drive plug-in hybrid. In this case, a separate 184-horsepower electric motor is placed on the rear axle. The total power of this installation can reach 435 hp.

Until 2025, Haval plans to invest about $14 billion in research and development of new energy vehicles.
