GM changes logo to highlight its future with electric vehicles

General Motors (GM) wrapped up this workweek by introducing a new corporate logo. This is the first major logo change since 1964. It is part of a campaign to reflect the automaker’s growing focus on electric vehicles.
The old logo is shown on the left, the new one on the right
According to the manufacturer, the letter “m” in the new logo is an allusion to the shape of an electrical plug.
The campaign includes an investment of $ 27 billion in the development and production of electric vehicles and self-driving vehicles. This amount will be allocated until 2025. By the end of this period, GM expects to produce 30 new models of electric vehicles.
“There are moments in history when everything changes. Inflection points. We believe this is the moment for mass adoption of electric vehicles, ”said Deborah Wahl, GM’s global director of marketing, as quoted by the source.
GM’s new website is set to go live on Monday, January 11, focusing on the automaker’s work on electrification and self-driving.
