General Motors (GM) continues to invest in electric vehicle manufacturing in the US, especially in Michigan. The company, which has held the title of the world’s largest automaker for 77 years, announced the allocation of $ 7 billion for this purpose, which is its largest one-time investment in its 113-year history. Investments will be aimed at expanding the production of electric vehicles and batteries. They are said to create 4,000 new jobs in the US.

Recognizing market prospects relatively early, the company for quite a long time ranked second in the United States in the supply of electric vehicles. However, the end of 2021 proved to be unfortunate for GM. The company had to recall a huge number of Bolt electric vehicles and completely stop production.

However, nothing lasts forever. Bolt EV and EUV production should resume any day now, plus delivery dates for other GM models such as the Cadillac Lyriq are approaching. In addition, new electric vehicles have been announced such as the GMC Sierra, Chevy Silverado and Chevy Equinox.

As GM hopes to deliver on its promise to deliver 20 new electric vehicles by next year, the company needs a massive manufacturing infrastructure.

This week, GM and LG Energy Solution announced the construction of a new 50 GWh battery plant in Lansing, Michigan. The funding for this project is part of a much larger investment to expand production capacity to a level that will enable the company to produce more than one million electric vehicles a year by 2025.

The WhatsApp messenger development team has released update 2.23.11.19 for the Android operating system. It is already available to some beta testers through the Google Play Beta Program. The new version has the ability to share your screen with the interlocutor during a video call. To do this, you need to click on the new icon located in the call control window. In this case, everything that is displayed on the screen will be recorded and transferred to another user.

WhatsApp will allow you to broadcast your screen to the interlocutor

The transfer of screen contents during a video call will be continuous, but it can be interrupted at any time: the user retains full control, experts at the WABetaInfo resource say. And, of course, the broadcast will only start after the user agrees to share the screen.

Please note that the new feature may not be available on smartphones running older versions of the Android OS, or it may not work when calling in large groups. Also, the interlocutor may not accept the screen picture if he uses an outdated version of WhatsApp. While the ability to share the contents of your screen has become available only to some beta testers, it is expected that more users of the messenger will be able to evaluate it in the near future.

Nvidia hasn’t released any details yet, though we’ve heard before that the company’s next generation of dedicated accelerators will be called Blackwell. There is also data on two GPUs of this generation: GB100 and GB102, which will be produced at 3 nm standards.

You can also see from Nvidia’s graph that the company expects a linear increase in performance relative to the current generation. That is, if we recall that the Nvidia A100 on the Ampere architecture offered a performance of about 20 TFLOPS, and the H100 already provides 60 TFLOPS, then the new solution can overcome the mark of 100 TFLOPS.
