Vivo X60 smartphones have been on sale in China for some time now, and will soon be announced globally. And today it became known that the international versions may differ significantly from the Chinese ones.
First, the younger models should get the SoC Snapdragon 870 instead of the Exynos 1080. The exception will be the X60 Pro +, which will remain on the Snapdragon 888.
But something else is more interesting. The source claims that all three smartphones will receive Pixel Shift technology. The essence of the technology is a microscopic shift of the image sensor by one pixel in order to obtain information about all colors for each pixel. This technology is commonly found in large SLR cameras.
At the same time, usually four images are sufficient for its implementation – one with a shift in each direction. Vivo smartphones will allegedly take eight photos, and the software will then create one of them. In the upcoming devices, the technology will be implemented through a special suspension for the sensor.
Interestingly, allegedly all three models of the line in the global market will receive this technology for their main camera.
Xiaomi is preparing a super-cheap Redmi A1 smartphone, and it will be a global model
Xiaomi will launch a very affordable smartphone under the Redmi brand. The novelty will be called Redmi A1, and it has already appeared in the databases of various regulators and industry groups (IMEI, FCC, TUV Rheinland), as well as in the Geekbench 5 database. Thanks to this, there are already some technical details about the device.
Redmi A1 has part numbers 220733SL, 220733SG and 220733SPI – these nomenclature differences indicate that the device will be sold in different countries and regions. Based on Geekbench data, the Redmi A1 is powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 SoC with a quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM, and runs Android 12. According to the FCC database, the Redmi A1 is 164.67mm long and 75mm wide. .56 mm.
There is speculation that Redmi A1 will be released under another Xiaomi brand – Poco. It’s just not yet clear when the official premiere of the novelty will take place.
Folding smartphone Xiaomi Mix Fold has fallen in price in China to the level of Xiaomi 12S Ultra
Xiaomi has launched the next generation of its foldable smartphone, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2. Pre-orders have already begun to be accepted in China. Meanwhile, the first generation of Xiaomi Mix Fold has fallen in price to a record level.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 is priced starting at $1,335. The first generation is now available in China for $1,038 with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. For so much, the device is now offered on the JD.com site. At the same price, you can buy a flagship, but standard Xiaomi 12S Ultra smartphone in the maximum configuration.
Recall, Xiaomi Mix Fold debuted in the spring of 2021. Features include an 8.01-inch 2480 x 1860 pixel flexible AMOLED panel, a 6.52-inch 2520 x 840-pixel AMOLED external screen, a triple rear camera (108, 13 and 8 MP), Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash memory, NFC, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, two rechargeable batteries with a total capacity of 5020 mAh with support for 67 W charging.
Still, this is not the reason for the rise in price: the iPhone 14 Pro will receive at least 128 GB of permanent memory, despite the price increase
The network has new data about future models of the iPhone 14 Pro. It is reported that the new items will receive in the minimum configuration only 128 GB of permanent memory, although earlier it was said about a minimum of 256 GB. However, prices will be higher.
Haitong International analyst Jeff Pu suggests that the iPhone 14 Pro/Pro Max models will still have the same storage capacity as the iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max. That is, we are talking about options for 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB.
Apple plans to assemble 91 million iPhone 14s in the second half of 2022, which is more than the iPhone 13 assembly in the same period last year. Then the company was able to collect 84 million pieces.
And Ming-Chi Kuo said that the iPhone 14 Pro models will be more expensive. The iPhone 14 Pro is rumored to be priced at $1,099 and the iPhone 14 Pro Max will cost $1,199, although this has yet to be officially confirmed.
As for the older models of smartphones, they are credited with cutouts instead of “monobrows”, A16 processors and a new purple color. Perhaps the increase in prices will be affected just by the use of a more powerful and expensive processor, as well as RAM.
Apple augmented reality glasses are expected to appear in 2024. Jeff Pu believes that they will appear at the end of 2024.
